Avoid even the minor sins; the second will of Rasulullah S.A.W to women.

As quoted by Aishah radhiyallahu ‘anha, she says: Rasulullah S.A.W spoke; “Dear Aishah, stray away from trivial deeds (and in the words quoted; ‘sins’). Because there will be demand from Allah to such deeds.”

This was a reminder from Prophet Muhammad S.A.W to Aishah. As it is a reminder to all of us that we should not take it easy when it comes to the minor sins we deem trivial. No matter how big or small our sins may be, we must remember for any sin we commit there is punishment waiting for us in the hereafter. We must fear the torture that awaits us if those little sins gather and build becoming one big horrible sin.
There was once an ascetic, Bilal bin Sa’d who said:

“Do not look only at the size of your error. But also to whom you defy.”

When we commit minor sins we tend to forget that Allah takes account for all those misdeeds and they will be magnified. They start as small mistakes that we brush off and turns into something so big that only Allah alone may forgive.

A poet once said:
all events begins from the view
flames coming from a small disadvantage
how much damage the view done the perpetrators
broken like an arrow without a bow and string”

This shows that by avoiding the minor sins we are all the more protected from committing the major sins. However, we petty humans never stray from mistakes. So we must always repent for all the sins we’ve committed.

if you avoid major sins of the sins that you may not have done it, WE would remove the stains of (minor sins) and we add you to of the Noble (paradise)” (An-Nisa’:31)

The meaning of Communcation in Islam

Communication in Islam is the process of sending Islamic messages using the principles of communation in Islam. Hence, Islamic Communacation stress upon the messages and the rhetoric which is used to pass on the messages.
These messages includes akidah; which has much to do with our iman, syariah; rules and the law in islam and akhlak; involving our behavior.
Guidelines in communication are provided in the Al-Quran and Al-Hadith for an effective result in communication. These guidelines help us to communicate within the principles and ethics from an Islamic prespective. Also these guidelines help muslim communicate interpersonally, intrapersonally in everyday association, also through dakwah and other activities.
In the many literatures on Islamic Communication we can find six styles of conversing that are considered as ways, principles or ethics of communication in Islam. They are, Qaulan Sadida, Qaulan Baligha, Qaulan Ma’rufa, Qaulan Karima, Qaulan Layinan and Qaulan Maysura.
1.      Qaulan Sadida
"And let the fear of God if those who leave behind their children who are weak, that they worry about (the wellness of) them. So let them fear Allah, and let them say Qaulan Sadida - the right words
Qaulan Sadida is the discussion, speech or words that are truthful, whether substantially or grammatically.
Substantially, Islamic Communication should inform or present the truth, facts and honesty. It should not be corruptive nor manipulative.
“And shun the lies” (QS, Al-Hajj; 30).
"Should you hold on to the truth (shidqi) because the real truth leads to righteousnessand virtue that leads to heaven" (HR, Muttafaq ‘Alaih)
“Speak of the truth no matter how bitter the taste” (HR Ibnu Hibban)
In redaction, polite and honest words should be used in communication in Islam as it is appropriate.
2.      Qaulan Baligha
"These are the people that He knows what is in their hearts. So turn away from them, and give them lessons, and say to them Qaulan Baligha-word to reach their souls."(Surah An-Nissa: 63).

The current dilemma of a Foodie

The crisis at hand is on the lack of HALAL food available on the market. There isn't many food establishment that could cater to the growing market of the new muslim consumers. Thanks to the stable increase of the economy emerge the new breed of food connoisseurs. Signs like no pork sold is not sufficient to meet with the HALAL standards as it is not just about porcine consumption that muslims are worried about. And the increasing number of non-halal restaurants that are sprouting in all of Malaysia hold threat to dissuade the Muslim populace from adhering to Halal law. As a fellow food junkie, I've noticed that many food establishment does not carry the halal logo and this discerns me to the extent that mashbooh(doubt) is raised on the integrity and validity of the food being served. Come around muslim entrepreneurs and explore the lucrative market that is the halal market. This multi-BILLION dollar market is ripe for the taking. Take for example of the recent fascination of Korean culture. Many of our own kind are seeking for authentic Korean barbeque(gogi gui) and there is no halal alternative to meet with their cravings.Seoul Garden in DP will not suffice as it does not provide the real experience of gogi gui. Wake up Malay entrepreneurs and see the vast possibilities of the Halal market. In doing so not only would you be of considerable wealth but it would sway the impressionable muslims from eating the forbidden.
